Job Description

Opportunities available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) in educational settings, specializing in teletherapy and in-person services. Positions involve supporting students ranging from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, with caseloads of approximately 43 students across up to two schools.

Location: Rohnert Park, CA
Assignment Type: Contract
Start Date: ASAP, continuing until the end of the school year
Work Hours: Full-time, hours per week as assigned
Student Age Group: TK through 8th grade

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services in schools using both teletherapy and in-person methods, depending on availability and need.
  • Provide assessment, intervention, and support for pediatric clients focused on speech and language development.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and provide supervision as required. Paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs or LPNs will assist with supervision duties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in compliance with district-specific procedures, including fingerprint clearance for employment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA or SLP license appropriate for school-based and healthcare settings.
  • Experience with school-aged populations, preferably TK-8th grade students.
  • Competency with teletherapy platforms and comfort delivering remote services as needed.
  • Ability to adhere to district policies surrounding interviews (conducted via Zoom) and onboarding requirements.

Additional Details:

  • Interviews conducted remotely through video conferencing.
  • District requires fingerprint clearance prior to start.
  • No training provided; candidates should be fully prepared to step into role.
  • Caseload and number of schools assigned will not exceed two schools simultaneously.
  • Supervisory support is provided by district-assigned personnel.
