A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech services within a school setting located in Portage, MI. This role focuses on providing speech therapy to students via telepractice, utilizing virtual platforms to support communication development and language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments remotely
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct telespeech therapy sessions to students using telecommunication tools
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student communication goals
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and school policies regarding teletherapy
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience providing telespeech or teletherapy services in an educational environment
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in children
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to use telepractice technology effectively
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and documentation standards
