Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the summer school session in Odessa, DE. This role focuses on providing telespeech services and in-person speech therapy support within a school setting, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations and individual therapy sessions via telespeech platforms and onsite.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings and communicate with parents, staff, and administrators regarding student progress and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Delaware license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in school-based speech therapy, including telespeech service delivery.
  • Strong understanding of childhood communication disorders and educational environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
