Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position focused on telespeech and teletherapy services is available for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports speech therapy needs within a school district serving the New Orleans area, specifically Harvey and Metairie, LA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services via teletherapy platforms to school-aged children.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students unique communication needs.
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and communicate therapy outcomes.
  • Complete district-specific credentialing forms as required for human resources processing.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience with teletherapy techniques preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • Typical hours are 7 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
  • Services provided remotely, supporting school districts in the Harvey and Metairie areas.

Additional Information:

  • Contract duration: August 3, 2026 May 27, 2027.
  • Number of schools and caseload details to be determined.
  • Employment contingent upon school board contract renewal scheduled for June 3, 2026.
