A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the New Orleans area, specifically located in Kenner, LA. This contract position involves providing telespeech and teletherapy services within the school setting, serving students with speech and communication needs.
Responsibilities include the delivery of comprehensive speech therapy services via teletherapy platforms, maintaining detailed documentation of student progress, collaborating with educators and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs), and adhering to district policies and procedures. The role requires flexibility in caseload management, with specific school assignments and age groups to be determined.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- ACTIVE state licensure as an SLP
- ASHA certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence - CCC-SLP)
- Experience with telespeech and teletherapy preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills tailored to virtual therapy delivery
- Ability to complete district-required HR credentialing forms promptly
This position entails a 35-hour workweek, typically 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, during the school year from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Offers are contingent upon renewal of the school board contract scheduled for review on June 3, 2026.
