Job Description

This opportunity is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver teletherapy services within a school setting. The position is based in the greater New Orleans area, with assignments primarily in Harvey, LA. Responsibilities will include providing telespeech and teletherapy services remotely to students requiring speech-language support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct telepractice sessions focused on speech and language development for students.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with district policies.
  • Complete necessary district HR paperwork and credentialing requirements in a timely manner.
  • Adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse student needs in a virtual environment.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is required.
  • Experience delivering telespeech or teletherapy services in educational settings strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation.

Assignment details:

  • Contract period from August 3, 2026 to May 27, 2027.
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week; typically 7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
  • Caseload and specific schools assigned will be determined.
  • This role is contingent upon school board approval scheduled for the June 3, 2026 meeting.
