Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to deliver both on-site and teletherapy services in a school setting located in Farmington, ME. This contract position supports students across multiple schools within the district, offering a dynamic and flexible work environment for an experienced professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric students, utilizing both traditional and teletherapy methods.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments, evaluate progress, and document therapy outcomes in compliance with district standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and complete required administrative duties.
  • Provide supervision as required, supporting entry-level staff when applicable.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Active Maine state SLP license.
  • Experience working in school-based pediatric settings and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
  • Ability to manage a caseload using either a caseload or workload model.
  • Experience or willingness to provide Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision is a plus.
  • Knowledge of school-based speech therapy assessments and IEP processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
