Job Description

A speech-language pathologist opportunity is available to deliver specialized services to students in grades 6-12. This contract position focuses on providing targeted speech therapy primarily addressing language and articulation needs in an educational setting. The role requires 10 hours per week with itinerant service delivery across multiple schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapy sessions focusing on language development and articulation skills.
  • Collaborate with educators to support student progress within an educational framework.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and progress monitoring.
  • Administer indirect services and manage caseload as per district guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience in teletherapy and school-based speech-language pathology.
  • Strong knowledge of current speech-language pathology practices for grades 6-12.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
  • Familiarity with educational IEP systems and documentation protocols preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Location:

  • Services will be provided across schools within the designated district; travel time will be compensated.

Contract Details:

  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY).
  • Weekly hours: 10 hours.
  • Position is itinerant, supporting students with mild to moderate language and articulation needs.
