A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a school setting located in the greater Chicago area. This position supports a single school and offers the chance to deliver telepractice and in-person speech therapy services for students requiring specialized communication support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs.
- Utilize telespeech methods alongside traditional in-school therapy to maximize student engagement and progress.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in virtual interviews and onboarding processes, including fingerprinting and contract signing prior to start date.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid LBS1 Special Education License is required for district supervision.
- Certification and experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably with school-based practice.
- Familiarity with telespeech therapy platforms and methodologies.
- Commitment to part-time hours; specific scheduling details to be determined.
- Ability to complete virtual interview sessions via Zoom and promptly finalize contract documentation.
Location:
- Position is based in Crete, Illinois, within a school district in the Chicago metropolitan area.
