Job Description
Make a meaningful impact by collaborating with educators and supporting young learners in an elementary school setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on providing comprehensive speech-language services to students in grades TK-5, located near Tehachapi, CA. As an onsite speech-language pathologist, youll play a key role in fostering student growth and development by offering direct therapy and expertly handling assessments and IEPs.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP credentials required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting serving elementary-aged children
- Strong understanding of providing the full spectrum of speech services: direct intervention, evaluations, and paperwork/IEP processes
- Ability to build relationships with diverse students, families, and school staff
- Comfort managing a varied caseload and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- CTC credential preferred, but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver onsite speech therapy to elementary students as outlined in each students IEP
- Complete evaluations and develop individualized treatment and educational plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and parents/guardians
- Maintain organized, accurate records and progress reports
- Address a range of speech, language, and communication needs across TK-5th grade
- Stay current on best practices and guidelines related to school speech-language pathology
