Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. This position is designed for the current school year, with the possibility to extend into the following school year based on performance and district needs.
Skills and Credentials:
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience supporting students in early childhood through high school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct assessments and assist with eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student success
- Offer guidance and resources to families and staff to support student progress
- Stay updated on best practices within school-based speech-language pathology
