Job Description

This contract position offers a one-year commitment with the possibility for extensions or permanent hire. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide individualized care for children ranging from 2 to 18 years old, focusing on those with mild to moderate needs. Your expertise will help shape communication and academic success in young livesno group sessions or care for medically fragile patients required.

Utilize your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment where youll play an active role in assessment, evaluation, direct therapy, and participation in IEP meetings. Most children in your care will be working through challenges related to pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading and writing delays, articulation, and high-functioning autism.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
  • Florida SLP licensure (or eligible to obtain)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ages 2-18
  • Background in educational or clinic settings highly valued
  • Ability to work effectively one-on-one with children
  • Skilled in assessment, therapy, and documentation for IEPs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to individualized care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Deliver direct, personalized therapy sessions (no group work)
  • Address a diverse caseload including pragmatics, articulation, language delays, and autism spectrum challenges
  • Write progress notes and maintain accurate records
  • Engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and team members
