As a vital member of the educational team, you will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to assess students, create individualized treatment plans, and facilitate growth in communication skills, both in and out of the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility for licensure in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Experience providing speech and language services in school-based settings
- Comprehensive knowledge of assessments, IEPs, and progress monitoring
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in diverse educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services (individual and group) to support students goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress through documentation and regular reporting
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Stay current on best practices and compliance with state and federal regulations
