A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric populations within a school setting located in Tacoma, WA. This role involves providing speech and language services to students across various grade levels, including early childhood, preschool, kindergarten, elementary (K-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as an SLP in pediatric or school-based settings
- Familiarity with early childhood through high school age groups
- Strong understanding of speech and language development milestones and disorders
- Effective communication skills for collaboration within an educational team
- Ability to manage caseload and prioritize responsibilities efficiently
- Licensure and certification appropriate to practice as an SLP in Washington state
