Job Description

Make a difference supporting elementary and preschool students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. In this dynamic, school-based contract role, you will work onsite and help children achieve their communication goals through individualized evaluation and evidence-based intervention.

Your role will focus on collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to support the language, articulation, social communication, and swallowing needs of young learners. You'll work with an engaged team in a supportive environment where professional growth and student progress are top priorities.

What You'll Need:

  • Valid Washington SLP licensure
  • ESA State Certification
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings is a plus
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and progress tracking
  • Ability to foster relationships with students, educators, and families
  • Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology
  • CFY candidates welcome (supervision available)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability to work with diverse learners

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate students speech, language, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain progress notes and documentation to align with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct therapy to students in elementary and preschool settings
  • Engage with families and staff to support generalization of skills across settings
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives to promote communication development
