Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support an elementary school in North Central Illinois from April to June. This maternity leave contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, providing dedicated speech and language therapy services to an elementary caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for students with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address speech, language, and communication goals specific to elementary-age students
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and parent conferences as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification (SLP-CCC preferred)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children within school settings
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently and effectively

This contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed SLP seeking to provide specialized maternity leave coverage while working with a supportive elementary school community.
