This contract opportunity, spanning from now through May 22, 2025, places you at a single K-5th grade school with a manageable average caseload of 55 students. Youll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in students lives, working closely with a collaborative and experienced team.
Preferred Background:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Valid Arizona SLP License and Arizona Department of Health SLP License
- Must secure and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to K-5 students
- Complete screenings, assessments, and diagnose speech, voice, and language disorders
- Interpret assessment results to recommend targeted interventions
- Validate external evaluations and recommendations for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide tailored therapy programs and progress monitoring for students
- Support and guide educators in identifying and referring students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on therapy integration and student support
- Maintain detailed and compliant student records
- Contribute to the school community through flexible, team-oriented support
