Exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to make a meaningful difference working with middle school students in an onsite, full-time role. This contract position offers the chance to work with an engaged and supportive educational community, helping students reach their communication goals and develop critical life skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active California SLP license required
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech and language interventions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage an onsite, full-time caseload
- Dedicated to fostering academic and personal growth in students
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for middle school students
- Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
- Document progress and maintain confidential records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans
- Educate and consult with teachers, staff, and parents to facilitate student success across learning environments
- Adapt therapy methods and practices to meet evolving student needs and school priorities
