Job Description

A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position at an elementary school in Sunnyvale, CA. This role involves working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, delivering high-quality speech therapy services to support their communication development. This full-time position offers a standard workweek of 37.5 hours across five days, providing a consistent schedule within an engaging educational setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience or training in pediatric speech therapy and healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy services and school-based speech pathology
  • Eligibility for or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech and language assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Implementing speech therapy interventions for students across K-12 grade levels
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Utilizing teletherapy platforms when applicable to deliver remote services
  • Documenting student progress in alignment with school district policies
