Job Description

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP licensure in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates may be considered
  • Experience working with school-aged children, including those with diverse backgrounds and varying abilities
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and documenting student progress
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Passion for supporting student success and integrating therapy into the educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students according to IEPs and school guidelines
  • Evaluate students to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, sessions, and communications
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and participate in professional development as needed
  • Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate both individual and group sessions
