Step into a rewarding contract position delivering speech-language pathology services to students in grades 6-8 or 10-12 on the southwest side of the Houston area. This full-time opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. With a manageable caseload of 5060 students, youll provide essential therapy, participate in ARDs and testing, and help students thrive academically and socially. If you prefer, theres also an option to focus on supervision responsibilities.
Primary skills and experience sought include:
- Active Texas FL speech-language pathology license (please provide an image of your license)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting
- Comfort with middle/secondary age groups (grades 68 or 1012)
- Familiarity with ARDs, therapy delivery, and evaluation/testing processes
- Commitment to timely completion of district-required fingerprinting
- Flexibility to work across the Houston area, with school assignments mindful of your ZIP code
- Willingness to complete a brief prescreen interview as part of the onboarding process
Responsibilities youll enjoy:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy to students
- Conducting assessments and participating in ARDs to support student IEP goals
- Documenting services accurately and maintaining compliance with district guidelines
- Collaborating with campus staff to ensure student progress
- Option to provide supervision only, if desired
