Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year, working with a dedicated secondary student population. This full-time assignment offers 35 hours per week and the chance to make a significant impact on students with a variety of needs, including Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment. Youll collaborate with educational professionals to deliver high-quality speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 45-50 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current, active SLP license issued by the state of Maryland
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide evidence-based direct therapy services to students in the secondary age group
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all caseload requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise in speech and language development
