Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the upcoming 20262027 school year serving a dedicated student population in a supportive educational environment near Sterling Heights, MI. In this onsite role, you will join fellow Speech-Language Pathologists in making a real difference for students within an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) setting, working with a manageable caseload of 4055 students. This is an ideal position for candidates with strong clinical and school-based SLP experience who are passionate about fostering communication skills and advocacy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing for Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in school settings, especially with ASD populations, preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to evidence-based practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address student-specific needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations to the team
- Support teachers, staff, and families in understanding and implementing communication strategies
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Engage with students individually and in small groups to promote social communication and language development
