Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students in an ASD setting as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the 20262027 school year. Located near Sterling Heights, MI, this onsite contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to help young learners gain vital communication skills in a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Michigan with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Experience working within school settings, particularly with elementary-aged students
  • Ability to provide effective, compassionate therapy for students on the autism spectrum
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, aides, and families
  • Excellent communication, thorough documentation practices, and organizational ability

Your Role:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy sessions for a caseload of approximately 25 elementary students in an ASD classroom
  • Assess students communication strengths and areas of need
  • Develop and implement actionable IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide timely progress updates and data-driven recommendations
  • Support families and classroom staff with strategies to reinforce gains beyond the therapy setting
  • Collaborate in the creation of a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
