Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alaska
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Strong skills in evaluation, intervention planning, and implementing IEPs
- Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
- Open to travel and relocation for the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to foster student success
- Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services within the school environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing team discussions
