Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alaska
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
  • Strong skills in evaluation, intervention planning, and implementing IEPs
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities
  • Open to travel and relocation for the school year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to foster student success
  • Provide direct therapy as well as consultative services within the school environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing team discussions
