Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position in an elementary school setting located in Statesville, NC. This role focuses on providing comprehensive speech therapy services to an approximate caseload of 35 students for the upcoming school year, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The position offers the opportunity to work directly with children in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify individual student needs
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans for students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid North Carolina SLP license
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably within a school setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children and multidisciplinary teams
