Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting childrens communication and developmental needs in an educational setting near Stamford, CT. This contract assignment calls for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric experience to provide life-changing services to students. Youll collaborate with educators and families to help young learners reach their full potential.
What were seeking:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in school-based settings
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and therapy planning
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students from diverse backgrounds
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy sessions tailored to each childs needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of student goals and progress reports
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Provide support and training to teachers and families to reinforce carryover strategies
- Engage in ongoing communication with staff and parents to foster student success
