Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive school setting. This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to serve K-12 students in the Bridgeport, CT area, working a full-time schedule of 32.5 hours each week.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC credential
  • Valid or eligible {state} license for SLP practice in schools
  • Experience working with K-12 populations across diverse needs and backgrounds is preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to changing school environments

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement IEPs and intervention strategies
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations to the multidisciplinary team
  • Support students in reaching their speech and language goals, adapting services to maximize learning potential
