Job Description

Make a real difference in students lives as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist within a dynamic school setting near the Washington DC area, just 45 minutes south of the city. This full-time contract opportunity begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, spanning 185 days and offering a consistent 37.5 hours per week. Multiple positions are available, with assignments offered across various educational levelselementary, middle, and high schoolensuring you have the chance to support age groups best suited to your strengths and interests.

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure is required
  • Experience within school settings preferred
  • Ability to work onsite; remote or hybrid placements are not available
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborative work with students, families, and educational teams
  • Must be ready to begin required credentialing promptly (including VA Dept. of Social Services clearance and TB test)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to a diverse student population
  • Assess, diagnose, and design individualized treatment plans for students across various age groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students communication needs
  • Complete evaluations and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams as required
