Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure is required
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric SLP setting is highly valued
  • Flexibility to serve various age groups (elementary, middle, high school)
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Willingness to fulfill time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including VA Dept. of Social Services check and TB test

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full spectrum of speech and language services to a caseload assigned across up to several schools
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop intervention plans for students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to provide a holistic, student-centered approach
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Support students IEP development and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
