Step into a dynamic school-based Speech-Language Pathologist contract role starting as soon as possible through late May 2026, working part-time (10-15 hours per week) in the North Virginia area, approximately 45 minutes south of DC. This on-site position involves supporting a diverse caseload in multiple settingsworking one-on-one in-home with a 4th grade student, providing in-school services to a 2nd grader, and possibly serving two students at a private day school in Manassas while a new therapist is found. With assignments spanning three schools, your days will stay varied and impactful.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure
- Completion of the VA Dept. of Social Services background check (must begin immediately upon hire)
- Recent negative TB test as mandated by Virginia regulations
- Experience with school-age children or relevant pediatric caseloads
- Reliable transportation for travel between school sites and students homes
- Not open to virtual/remote options; on-site presence is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group speech-language therapy based on IEPs and student needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Develop session documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
- Provide interim service coverage at a private day school if needed
Pay for this role is highly competitive, scaling with years of experienceranging from $46 to $58 per hour depending on your school-based SLP background.
