Job Description

A professional opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students within the Washington DC area. This full-time contract position is focused on delivering comprehensive speech therapy services in elementary and middle schools, ensuring students communication needs are effectively met in a supportive educational environment.

Location: Stafford, VA
Duration: School Year Contract (ASAP through 5/29/2026)
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (Full-time); part-time candidates may be considered with a minimum of 20 hours weekly
Work Setting: Onsite only no remote or hybrid options available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language pathology services to students from elementary through middle school, managing caseloads typically around 50 students, not exceeding 55.
  • Deliver individualized therapy plans that address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate student progress and integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting.
  • Participate in ongoing assessments and documentation to track student development and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain professional licensure requirements and adhere to educational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required; new graduates completing Clinical Fellowship considered with supervision provided.
  • Active Virginia State Licensure for SLP required.
  • Previous school environment experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Interest in supporting diverse caseloads within K-12 settings.
