This contract opportunity offers full-time hours within a district renowned for comprehensive special education programmingspanning behavioral consultation, assistive technology, and direct services for students with a wide range of abilities. While the exact school locations and caseloads will become available closer to the start date, flexibility in assignment is welcomed and opens the door to a diverse, rewarding experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Several years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, particularly in school settings
- Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired/Communications Disorder Endorsement and/or a State of Oregon Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-Speech) strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Knowledge of and experience with augmentative communication systems (both low and high tech)
- Current Oregon Drivers License
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must work harmoniously and maintain confidentiality
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population within the district
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special educators and behavioral specialists
- Implement augmentative communication strategies and devices as needed
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements
- Communicate progress and recommendations to families and staff effectively
