This position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized speech-language services in a supportive high school environment tailored to students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The role focuses on personalized education that fosters independence and skill-building outside of traditional classroom settings.
Location:
- Ludlow, MA (Assignment site)
- Client main office located in West Springfield, MA
Assignment Details:
- Contract term from approximately August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027 (pending official school year calendar)
- 32.5 hours per week
- Caseload at the high school level including supervision of an SLPA within the Compass High Program
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services aligned with state requirements and standards
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans addressing the unique needs of students with ASD and other learning differences
- Supervise and collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to ensure effective service delivery
- Monitor and document student progress effectively within the specialized program framework
- Engage with educational staff and families to support student success and independence
Qualifications:
- Certification as an SLP with appropriate state licensing
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with high school-aged students
- Knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related interventions
- Ability to supervise and guide support staff
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
