Job Description

Make a difference this summer supporting high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning differences in a vibrant, specialized educational program. This short-term contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a setting designed to promote independence and skill-building, serving a dynamic caseload within the Compass High Program. Based in Ludlow, MA, the position is scheduled from July 6th to August 7th, 2026, with the potential for consideration in the following school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience providing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) services
  • Knowledge of diverse learner needs, especially for students with ASD
  • Active state licensure and compliance with state-specific regulations
  • Recent experience in a school-based setting working with high school students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to high school students participating in a specialized program focused on social, communication, and life skills
  • Collaborate with supportive educators and staff to implement effective individualized plans
  • Support students use of alternative communication tools and strategies
  • Maintain timely and compliant documentation for student progress and services
  • Engage families and team members to foster optimal communication outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development

  • Contract position: 15-20 hours per week, 2-3 days weekly
