Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid and current state licensure/certification as an SLP
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs, Medicaid billing, and IDEA regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfort working with diverse student populations across elementary, middle, or high school settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language therapy services
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, teachers, and families to support student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear data and recommendations
- Offer staff and parent training as needed to reinforce communication strategies outside the therapy setting
