Enhance the educational experience for students by providing expert speech-language therapy services in a dynamic school setting. A contract opportunity is available for a credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for supporting students communication and language development. Spend the academic year on-site, collaborating closely with educators and families within a dedicated K12 environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active North Carolina SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a K12 school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adjust strategies to meet student needs
- Strong collaborative and communication skills, working seamlessly with school teams, parents, and administrators
- Commitment to full-time, onsite service (remote or VOCO options not available)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Implement therapy and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert input to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and comply with state and district requirements
- Serve as a resource within the school community to promote awareness of speech and language development
This school-based contract runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
