A rewarding opportunity awaits Speech Language Pathologists seeking a contract assignment working with pediatric populations in an educational setting. This full-time position begins at the start of the school year and extends through October, providing services within an elementary environment. Key Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Michigan SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
- Experience in school-based pediatric settings highly valued
- Familiarity with a variety of behavioral and developmental disabilities
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered practice
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat student speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Monitor progress and document outcomes
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote communicative success
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs and interventions
- Adapt therapeutic techniques for a range of behavioral and special needs across various disability types
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and policies
