Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid license to practice Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility)
- Direct experience working with pediatric populations
- Background in school-based therapy and familiarity with IEP processes
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and other specialists
- Organizational skills necessary for managing a varied caseload and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication challenges
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to promote optimal outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expertise to IEP development and student support teams
- Document all sessions, progress, and parent communications in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Provide guidance and consultation to educational staff and caregivers to reinforce interventions within the classroom and at home
