Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels as an SLP in a vibrant school setting near Sparks, NV. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Nevada SLP license is required
- Previous experience in schools strongly preferred
- Proficiency in assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Flexible, collaborative, and adaptable to different school environments and grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to caseloads spanning elementary, middle, and high school populations
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized student goals
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with regulations and district guidelines
- Offer consultation and direct support to teachers and caregivers to enhance carryover of therapy strategies in class and at home
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities as needed
