Job Description

A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available near South Holland, IL, offering full-time, onsite work in an engaging K-12 educational environment. This contract role involves providing speech and language services to students throughout the academic year, supporting their communication development and educational success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders for students across grades K-12
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and treatment plans
  • Participating in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required
  • Utilizing both traditional and teletherapy techniques as appropriate to meet student needs

Qualifications and experience:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
  • Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in speech-language pathology
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech-language pathology preferred
  • Prior professional experience working as an SLP in a school setting
  • Strong skills in pediatric speech and language therapy, including teletherapy modalities
