Step into a dynamic school-based environment where you'll support young learners as a speech-language pathologist in the ASD PreK program. In this full-time contract opportunity, youll help a small group of 6-8 students, guiding them through language development and communication skills daily. Your specialized training in speech-language pathology, especially within pediatric and school settings, will make a vital impact on students growth and success.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC or eligibility preferred)
- Pediatric and school-based experience, ideally with autism spectrum disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit
- Dedication to individualized, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to support the communicative needs of PreK students on the autism spectrum
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs alongside teachers and other specialists
- Conduct speech and language assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and family communication
- Offer guidance to school staff regarding communication strategies and classroom modifications
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
