Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract position making a positive impact in an elementary and middle school educational environment, located near Smyrna, GA. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist holding a CCC and recent experience in school-based settings. Youll work on-site, supporting students speech and communication development throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA; SLPAs are not eligible
  • Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GA PSC) certification
  • Current state licensure
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school populations preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to complete and provide time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprints and drug screening

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve one school site, functioning as a valued support in the academic community
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver targeted therapy
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student growth
  • Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and state regulations
  • Adjust services as needed to best meet each students unique strengths and needs
