Job Description

A full-time on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Smyrna, Delaware, supporting school-based therapy services for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This position focuses on delivering speech therapy, conducting evaluations, and providing individualized education program (IEP) support within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students with communication disorders
  • Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations
  • Write detailed IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with educational staff
  • Collect and maintain progress monitoring data
  • Document therapy notes using software systems such as Data Service Center and PowerSchool IEP

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is mandatory
  • Experience in school-based settings with familiarity in evaluations and IEP writing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with staff and families
  • Reliable transportation for consistent on-site attendance
  • Candidates must verify current licensure status prior to consideration
  • Note: Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not being considered for this role

Position Details:

  • Full-time contract role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Specific grade levels and caseloads will be determined
  • Multiple positions may be available
  • Interviews and start dates to be scheduled accordingly
