Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting students in a dynamic school environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA) for the remainder of the school year. This contract opportunity focuses on serving K-12 students across two to three schools, with a manageable caseload of approximately 67 students. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active SLP-CCC or SLPA licensure in Alabama (or eligibility for reciprocal)
  • Proven experience in pediatric and school settings; teletherapy background a plus
  • Solid understanding of IEP procedures and documentation
  • Commitment to delivering individualized, student-centered therapy
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and provide speech/language therapy
  • Serve both as direct provider and as supervisor or supervisee, based on credentials and assignment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators to maximize student outcomes
  • Utilize the districts IEP system (training provided for new users)
  • Deliver therapy services across assigned schools, with paid travel between sites
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state policies
