Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) within a vibrant K-12 school district serving Phenix City and surrounding areas. This contract position offers the chance to work across 2-3 schools, delivering crucial speech and language services to a diverse caseload of approximately 67 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct and indirect therapy services.
  • Provide teletherapy and in-person services tailored to pediatric school-aged populations.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with school district guidelines and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs.
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology and teletherapy service delivery.
  • Familiarity with school-based caseload or workload models.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of up to 67 students.
  • For SLPA candidates, relevant certification and experience in school settings.
  • Willingness to work a 37.5-hour week schedule with itinerant travel between multiple sites.
