Job Description
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available to support K-12 students in a comprehensive public school setting located in Smith River, CA. This contract role spans the full school year and offers a dynamic caseload focused on delivering direct therapy, participating in IEP meetings, conducting student assessments, and writing comprehensive IEPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students across grades K-12
- Conduct assessments and testing to evaluate students communication skills
- Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with school staff and families through IEP meetings to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid California Speech Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Strong knowledge of K-12 speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
