What youll bring:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active SLP license in South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience providing speech-language services to pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
  • Familiarity with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with families, educators, and other specialists

Day-to-day impact:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to students, individually and in small groups
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop intervention plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to foster carryover of therapy strategies in the classroom and at home
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress and services in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staying proactive in recommending goals and supports
  • Educate staff and families on communication disorders, approaches, and outcomes
