Step into a vital role supporting students across multiple schools, providing valuable speech-language pathology services in an engaging educational setting. This contract opportunity allows you to help shape communicative growth while working with a dedicated team of educators and other specialists.
Your assignment will span several school sites, with possible openings and custom combinations for full-time coverage at Forest Ridge ES, Swansfield ES, Elkridge Landing MS, Hammond MS, Howard HS, and Wilde Lake HS. Theres also a potential for a split full-time role between Wilde Lake HS and Howard HS for those seeking variety. The contract begins August 10th, 2026, and continues through June 9th, 2027, for 37.5 hours weekly.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Maryland SLP license (SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow eligible)
- Experience in school-based speech-language services, ideally with diverse elementary, middle, or high school populations
- Ability to work onsite exclusively, as remote options are unavailable
- Competency in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication needs
- Conduct screenings and evaluations, including documentation for special education eligibility
- Develop and monitor progress towards individualized goals through IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to promote student success
- Maintain thorough records as required by school and district policies
