Job Description
Deliver expert speech-language support to students across several school sites in a highly collaborative educational setting. This contract assignment offers the chance to work with dedicated faculty and impact student achievement by helping learners reach their communication goals. Assignments will be at multiple school locations within a vibrant, supportive district, and candidates will be matched to sites based on their home zip code and district need.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year)
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but strong new graduates are welcome
- Availability for exclusive onsite work remote options are not being considered
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide direct speech-language therapy to a caseload of K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students goals
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt intervention techniques based on evolving student needs
- Provide professional input as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Rotate among multiple school locations, ensuring consistent, high-quality services
