Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland SLP licensure required; candidates must provide images of credentials for verification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFY candidates will also be considered.
  • At least one year of school-based SLP experience preferred, unless supported by outstanding references or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to complete a House Bill background check prior to start date.
  • Flexibility to be assigned to up to 2-3 schools, based on preference and proximity.
  • Candidates should be ready for a candidate-preference discussion regarding caseload and school assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload ranging from elementary to middle school (elementary max 40, middle up to 48, and up to 57 students at peak).
  • Provide on-site support following a preferred 35-hour workweek; part-time commitment must be at least three days per week.
  • Work closely with supervision provided during interviews and throughout the contract.
  • Participate in collaboration with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Maintain meticulous records and adhere to all school and state compliance requirements.
  • Engage in professional dialogues with supervisors to ensure role alignment with your strengths and logistics.
